practice singing songs that have lots of notes near the higher end of your vocal range, but that you don't have to strain for. After a couple weeks, you should notice that you're able to hit a note or two higher. If you have to strain, it's too high, and you're only going to hurt your voice if you keep trying to hit it. In the short term you'll only be able to increase your range by a couple notes, so don't expect huge changes, the biggest thing is to sing in your range, ie. alto, soprano
